The Wheatsheaf Inn at Exning, Newmarket, a Bed and Breakast and Public House, is a five minute drive from the flat racing headquarters and also the famous Tattersalls sales.

Nestling in the centre of the village, the Wheatsheaf (a 17th century Inn) is situated in superb gardens. Under the care and attention of Ken Clutterbuck it is a thriving village pub offering great food and peace and quiet. It is ideal for the racegoer, for short breaks or business stays.

We have a Carvery every Sunday with a choice of three meats, usually Beef, Lamb and Turkey and a choice of nine vegetables and of course there is also roast potatoes, roast parsnips and home made Yorkshire pudding, with as much or little traditional home made gravy as you wish.

This is very popular and it’s always recommended to book. We serve from 12.30 till 3.30pm
Starters £3.95, Main Course £9.95 and Homemade Desserts £3.95

A lunch time menu is available, from our popular home made Steak and Ale Pie to sandwhiches.

In the evenings we have a varied selection of dishes, including Stilton stuffed Sirloin, Pan Fried Sea Bass, Chicken Stroganoff and we also serve vegetarian options. With the mushroom stroganoff being a firm favourite.
